Anna Berglund presents the exhibition Folia Aurum, her second solo exhibition at Galleri Glas. The series continues her exploration of ornament as a form-bearing principle in glass.

Anna Berglund (b. 1973) studied at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design (MFA in Ceramics and Glass, 2006). The same year, works by her were acquired for the collection of the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. She has realised around twenty permanent public commissions in Sweden and recently completed an installation for Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, including a large work in mould-blown glass and LED. Crown Jewels of Småland (2009) is permanently installed in the Council of the European Union building in Brussels.

Galleri Glas was started in 2017 by Anna Bromberg Sehlberg and Elin Forsberg. Right from the start our aim has been to create a focus on contemporary Swedish and international glass art. We wanted to bring new life to an art form with a proud tradition in our Swedish cultural heritage. The gallery soon established itself as a forum for meetings between artists and a knowledgeable public with an interest in unique objects. In recent years we have broadened our programme to embrace exhibitions of other forms of art including painting and photography, though glass art will continue to be our principal focus.
