OSTINATO Arianna E. Funk & Klara Knutsson S19, Sibyllegatan 19, Stockholms Hantverksförening April 16–26, 2026 Ostinato, at the gallery S19 by Stockholm Craft Association, explores the artistic process through new works shaped by both mastery and material intuition.

Though working in different crafts, Arianna E.Funk and Klara Knutsson meet in a shared understanding of making – where repetition, precision, and spontaneous decisions converge. Their practices unfold as both distinct and intertwined, revealing unexpected parallels between techniques. Presented here are dispatches from the threshold between roles: Knutsson, a certified decoupeur, and Funk, a master weaver – titles rooted equally in skill and aesthetic sensibility.

Welcome to a panel Talk, April 26 at 15.00 Funk and Knutsson are joined by curator Anna Lerinder and artist Sofia Wiberg in a panel talk, to discuss craftsmanship and practical knowledge in public art. The conversation examines how artistic vision and skilled making intersect—whether embodied in one practitioner or through collaboration—and how deep craft expertise shapes the environments we share.
