The Devil – A Life (2020-2024) by Nick Cave is a series of 17 glazed ceramic figurines that tell the story of the Devil from birth to death. Far from being a fearsome Antichrist, Cave's Devil is a human-like figure, who experiences life's ups and downs in a deeply relatable way. This work reflects Cave's fascination with religion as a source of creativity and deeper meaning.

As part of the exhibition at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, Nick Cave's library is also presented, featuring around one hundred of Cave's favourite books. The books are personally selected for the exhibition in Stockholm and can be read on site or borrowed with a library card.
