Sanna Fogelvik, Tender Unknown

SEART (Sweden's Emerging Art) is an inintiative to support, promote and boost the arts and artists since 2012. During Stockholm Art Week, SEART will present artist Sanna Fogelvik´s site-specific installation titled "Tender Unknown" in the charming 18th-century belvedere / Lusthuset at Spökparken, right in the middle of the city.

Using 3D animation, sound and photography, Sanna Fogelvik creates a world where the visitor meets trees turned into distorted, otherworldly versions of themselves. This hybrid reality interacts with the pavilion's interior while engaging in dialogue with the park outside. Digitally transforming and deforming 3D scans from the natural world nearby, Fogelvik invites visitors to reflect on their connection to the familiar. Pinhole photos offer another dimension, where landscapes are rediscovered as something mysterious and unfamiliar. Trees stand at the center of this work, as a non-human lifeforms that are often perceived as individuals, and with whom we share deep emotional bonds. While we cherish these entities, their existence is frequently threatened by our actions. Composer Julie Zhu (US) has collaborated on the soundscape, merging together bells and murmurs as the voice of this world.

Opening Hours:
Friday: 14.00-18.00
