Waldemarsudde, formerly the residence of Prince Eugen (1865–1947), is today one of the most popular art museums in Sweden, with varied and extensive exhibitions and events to match. Prince Eugen was among the finest landscape painters of his generation and an art collector of note, with special emphasis on Nordic and French art. The Collection numbers around 7,000 works and comprises painting, sculpture and crafts objects. Throughout the year, a selection of Prince Eugen’s own art, works from the Collections and temporary exhibitions, are displayed. The Prince’s Private Apartments and Park are always open to visitors. Welcome to Sweden’s most beautiful art museum!
During Stockholm Art Week, the museum will host and exclusive introduction to the exhibition Från Mumin till Chop Chop.
