Highlights during the day:

1 PM - 2 PM. Market Art Fair Talk: Värdet av konst - för hjärnan, samhället och livet

Participants: Karolina Modig & Erik Modig

Culture journalist Karolina Modig and Stockholm School of Business and Economics researcher Erik Modig discuss their book Värdet av konst - för hjärnan, samhället och livet, which brings together studies on how art affects us as individuals and the society we live in. Drawing on research from diverse fields such as psychology, neuroaesthetics, economics, art history, and philosophy, the authors describe the concrete impact that art and culture have on our brains, in small communities, in companies, for children and the elderly, and within education, healthcare, and social care. They also explore the difference between the intrinsic values of art and its effects, and how this fundamentally shapes the way we should approach the measurement of art and culture.
