Performance: Cave football at Konsthall 16

  • Konsthall 16 Gärdet Stockholm, Stockholm County Sweden (map)

Hanna Sjöstrand, masked Cave football player, 2025

During Stockholm Art Week, Konsthall 16 will host “Cave football – a dramatic, literary and philosophical challenge!”
In conjunction with Hanna Sjöstrand’s exhibition at Konsthall 16, we invite you to a never-before-seen match of cave football. The “cave” prefix refers partly to the fact that the players, who are all artists, writers and actors, play blindfolded, and partly to more philosophical thoughts. The game is played with a silent ball, and the blindfolded players are led in the right direction on the field by two team leaders. In addition to Hanna Sjöstrand herself and the eight people who make up the two teams, the creators and participants include a group of renowned persons in literature and theatre who each contribute linguistically in their own unique way to the match.
Commentator: Nils Markus Karlsson, poet journalist, explorer
Team leaders: Iggy Malmborg, theatre maker and  Ludvig Uhlbors, playwright, director
(In Swedish)

The match starts at 18.00 / 6 pm and takes place at Gärdet, outside Riksidrottsmuseum.

Hanna Sjöstrand’s exhibition in Konsthall 16, Riksidrottsmuseum, is open before the game, until 18.00 / 6 pm.
