På Sergels torg is a placemaking initiative in Stockholm. The aim is to revitalise Sergels torg, an iconic central plaza, into a space for people of all ages to experience art and culture. På Sergels torg offers year-round activities accessible to everyone in the heart of Stockholm. 2024 kicks off with performances, workshops, and exhibitions featuring both established and emerging artists. På Sergels torg is a collaboration between the City of Stockholm, local estate owners and civil society. 

Tricks from Nowhere is a large-scale chess game created specifically for Sergels Torg by designer Jenny Nordberg. Inspired by the chess master Judtih Polgár's aggressive and reckless playing style, the production of the chess set has been imbued with the same approach. Wood has been split with an axe, clay has been thrown and shaped, fire has been used as a finish and tin has been dropped on wet terry towels.
