Åmells presents new works by Oskar Korsár (b. 1977) in the exhibition “Speglingar på Styx”. Renowned for his skilful and evocative drawings and sculptures, Korsár employs a distinctive visual lexicon where the efficacy of lines is matched only by the remarkable technical finesse of his bronzes. His oeuvre features elongated female figures and humanlike creatures set within diverse environments, distinguished by refined chromatic and figurative effects and often incorporating allusions to art historical, mythological, or philosophical themes. “Speglingar på Styx marks” Korsár’s debut at Åmells, concurrently serving as his reintroduction to the Swedish art milieu.
