ART/LIFE: A lecture by Chuck Olson

  • Stockholm School of Economics 65 Sveavägen Stockholm, Stockholms län, 113 57 Sweden (map)

Join SSE during Stockholm Art Week for an after-work lecture with artist Chuck Olson. Explore how art shapes perspectives, fosters dialogue, and contributes to personal and societal understanding in a conversation connecting cultural diplomacy, education, and everyday life.

As part of Stockholm Art Week, the Stockholm School of Economics warmly invites you to an after-work event exploring how we live with art and how it can shape our personal and professional lives.

The event is organized in collaboration with the United States Embassy in Sweden, the Art in Embassies program, and The Swedish Program - a U.S.-based non-profit study abroad program affiliated with SSE.

The Art in Embassies program reflects a longstanding commitment to cultural diplomacy, using visual art to foster dialogue, mutual understanding, and cross-cultural exchange. This event continues that tradition by bringing together perspectives on art, education, and international collaboration.

Art has the power to build bridges between cultures and individuals. By engaging with art, we can deepen curiosity, expand perspectives, and better understand both others and ourselves. This lecture explores how art can serve as a meaningful part of everyday life and contribute to broader societal dialogue.

Chuck Olson is a postmodern painter who has participated in over 300 solo and group exhibitions across the United States, France, Italy, Germany, and Japan. His work is represented in major museum, corporate, and private collections.
